Bhubaneswar, May 18: From today a two-day special session of Legislative Assembly is being organized to emphasize the GST and VAT (amendment) bill in the House. Yesterday, for this, a workshop on GST was organised by the Finance Department for the legislators. Training by the experts and officials of Finance department on the bill were given to the legislators. On the other hand, the lawmakers of the opposition bench showed severe disappointment for not being provided with the copy of the bill even if it is going to be discussed in the House for a short session. A legislative party meet of BJD, BJP and Congress were organized yesterday. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik instructed his party MLAs to focus upon the interest of Odisha during discussion on the bill.
