Bhubaneswar: August 03: Members of the Jana Surakhya Mancha have held 12 hours bandh in Koraput today that began from dawn, for protesting the Kandhamal firing incident that happened on July 8 which took the lives of five innocent tribals, including a baby.

Normal life and vehicular movement has already been affected as the members of the Mancha blocked roads at Semiliguda, Patangi and Sunki areas by burning tyres on the road. Following which all private bus services remained shut today in the city. On the other hand, the emergency services and educational institutions were allowed to stay operational despite of the bandh.
