Educational Institutions and Govt offices to remain closed for Hockey World Cup opening event

Bhubaneswar: January 22: Dambarudhar Behera, a resident of Behera Sahi in Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar succumbed to his injuries when a speeding car hit him while he was taking morning walk in front of Gate No 3 of Kalinga Stadium. Sources said, Behera, along with his two daughters went for a morning walk in front of Gate No-3 of Kalinga Stadium today when a speeding car hit all three of them. Locals took them to a nearby hospital where Behera succumbed to his injuries while the condition of his daughters is stated to be critical.

Locals alleged that three faced the accident as they had to walk outside the stadium since they were not allowed inside the stadium for morning walk. They demanded that the gate of the stadium should be opened for people for morning and evening walk. Besides, they also demanded that the government should provide adequate compensation to the family of Behera.
