Unlock Process in Odisha, may witness more relaxations from September 1

The partial lockdown restrictions in Odisha for the month of August are all set to expire on September 1 at 6am. Government may announce new guidelines for the Month of September on 31st August. All are eyeing on it. People are waiting to know, what may open and what may not from September.

But, Covid situation is improving in Odisha and currently, daily cases also show declining trend. So, people expect, State Government may come up with more relaxations. Also, what we have observed, State Government has been adding more relaxations every time.

As Still daily cases remain in between 600-800 and also, Covid-19 cases among children in the 0-18 age group, are rising, Government may not go for complete unlock. Also, festive season is going to begin in the State. So, complete unlock in this situation may not be possible in this time.

As expected, weekend shutdown in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, may be withdrawn. On other side, Government may prefer to continue Night curfew  as it is.

Government may give more relaxations for wedding, thread ceremony and other gatherings.

Also, keeping in view of  Education, Government may allow Physical classes for students from classes 1 to 9 with Covid Restrictions.

As earlier, Government shall decide the unlock guidelines for the month of September, keeping balance between Life and Livelihood.
