Wardha hit Chennai at a windy speed of 110km

Chennai, Dec 12: The very expected cyclone Wardha has touched the Chennai coast today at around 2.30 pm affecting the airlines and train services in the city.

The said Wardha has been affecting the city quite largely with the wind blowing at a speed of 90-100 kms per hour. Following to heavy rains affecting the city. The beaches have been closed for the public as the waves hit high.

The cyclone is creating heavy devastation. While electric poles and trees fall destructively on the streets, the roadways have also been blocked. The coastline populations have also been warned of the situation and have been shifted to safe place, while the Indian Navy has placed two ship and NDRF authorities have been placed at various places to safeguard the situation.
