VHP threatens agitation if J&K Assembly allows discussion on anti-beef ban Bill

Jammu: VHP has threatened to launch a massive agitation and enforce an economic blockade in Jammu and Kashmir if the assembly allowed a discussion to revoke provisions criminalizing bovine slaughter and sale of beef in the state.

Leela Karan Sharma President of State VHP unit said, Jammu would observe a black day and the people of the region will take to the streets if the Assembly Speaker allows a discussion on an anti-beef ban bill.

He said the people of Jammu will not tolerate If the beef ban is revoked and the government will have to face consequences.
