Sundargarh, Nov 6: On charges of accumulating disproportionate assets to his known sources, simultaneous raids were conducted by the Vigilance officials today at five places, including houses of Sundargarh jailer Syed Sahiruddin Ahmed.
As per reports, Ahmed’s two houses at Samanta Vihar in Bhubaneswar and Dumduma, were raided simultaneously by the anti-corruption officials.
Besides, a guest house of Sundargarh jail where Ahmed is currently residing after getting transferred from Nabarangpur jail, was also raided by the agency.
The Vigilance team seized some incriminating documents and bank passbooks registered in the name of Ahmed.
