Yojana magazine to be published from Odisha


Yojana, a monthly magazine devoted to socio-economic issues published by the central government, will be now published from Odisha.

Earlier, the magazine was published in Odia language from New Delhi.

The developmental monthly magazine, is being published by the Publication Division, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in 13 Indian languages since 1957. Apart from Hindi, English, Punjabi and Odia, the magazine in other regional languages is published from their respective states.

It was a long standing demand by the State to publish the magazine from Odisha. Recently, the issue was raised by MP Balabhadra Majhi before the Centre.

Keeping the demand in mind, Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting finally has approved to publish the magazine from Odisha.

With the approval from Centre to publish the magazine from Odisha, Gopal Chandra Mohapatra, Assistant Director, Bhubaneswar Doordarshan (news section) is now in-charge of publishing the magazine.

Yojana Magazine is the most useful magazine for all types of people especially the students. It provides information related to welfare schemes launched by the Centre.
