13 Maoists Including 2 Women Cadres Surrendered

Malkangiri: As many as 13 Maoists including 2 women have surrendered. The incident took place in Odisha’s Malkangiri district border in Chhattisgarh.

As per reports, 13 Mao cadres surrendered to SP of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh on Friday. They were involved in many violent activities of the Maoist organization for many years. There are 2 women among the Maoists who surrendered.

It was informed that the Maoists surrendered after they felt that the Maoist organisation has deviated from the Maoist ideology.

There was a bounty of Rs 5 lakh in the names of top Maoist leader CCM Uday’s bodyguards Munna and Sukhram. After surrendering, they will be provided with all facilities to join the mainstream.

As an incentive, an assistance of Rs 25,000 has been given to each of the surrendered Maoists.

Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav informed that this success was achieved due to the joint efforts of STF, DRG, Bastar Fighter and CRPF.
