Malkangiri, August 24: Two Naxals, including a top commander, were killed in a shootout with security forces in Chhattisgarh. The incident took place in the Konta police station area of Sukma district.
According to Sukma SGP Sunil Sharma, a joint team of the Chhattisgarh Police District Guard, CRPF and Cobra Battalion launched an anti-Naxal operation in the forest near Gompad and Kahnaiguda villages. They had a clash with the Naxals in the Ghancha forest this morning. The two sides exchanged fire.
