Bhubaneswar, July 27: The most preferable college in the state, BJB College has gone down as report shows after publication of second cut off percentage list. As scheduled, the second cut off list for plus II admission for this academic season has been published by Higher Education Department on Monday.
As per the list, with 90.83%, Saraswati Vidyamandir, Neelakantha Nagar has come up as most preferable college in Science. While with 86 %, Kishore Nagar Junior college has ranked topped in Arts stream and in commerce stream, Sri Aurobindo College, Angul has ranked no one with 80.5% cut off percentage.
Along with these colleges, for Science Stream, cut off percentages are 90.5% for Ravenshaw Junior College, 89.33% for BJB junior College, 87% for Kalinga Vision 2 Science College, Bhubaneswar, 86.83% Upendranath College, Soro and 86.17% for Talangar College in Balasore.
Likewise, for arts, cut off percentages are, for Anandmayee Women’s college, Belasore who listed second place in the cut off list, it is 83.5%, Tara Tarini College, Purusottampur in Ganjam, listed in third place, it is 83%. In others colleges, Kanpur Anchalika Mahavidyalaya, Narasinghpur in Cuttack district it is 81.83%, Anchalika Mahavidyalaya, Rusuda in Bolangir it is 80%, Sohela Junior College, Bargarh it is 79.33%, Nagaon Higher Secondary School in Bolangir it is 78.5%.
In commerce stream, BJB College came up in Second place with 80%. SSC junior college, puri cut off percentage is 77.67%, Ravenshaw junior college, Cuttack, where it is 77%, Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar is with 76%, Kamakhyanagar college, Dhenkanal it is 75.33% and 73.67% for Rajadhani College, Bhubaneswar.
The students, who have cleared the instant and supplementary examination, can participate in the admission process and also non-applied students would get a chance for admission. Till now around 2.95 lakh students has been taken admission in the first phase out of 4.10 lakh. Second phase admission would be start from July 28 to July 30. According to the first cut off list BJB junior college had ranked as number one. In Arts and Commerce streams, some private colleges had cornered the list.
