Bargarh, Dec 1: A heartbroken incident happened today morning when a farmer from Bargarh district took his life due to crop failure.
Identified as Lokanath Sahu, 64 of Podapalli Village in Bargarh district along with his 2 sons were doing paddy farming in a 13 acre land. For this, Sahu took a private loan of 1 lakh from private moneylenders. But before the paddy matured, about 9 acres of the farm got infected with pests and destroyed the greenery completely.
Pessimist about the situation, Sahu drank poison early today morning. He was serious when he was taken to the hospital. He passed away during an ongoing treatment.
