Cuttack, Jan 22: BJD corporator from ward no 45 Meenakshi Behera elected uncontested as Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Mayor after she emerges as the sole candidate to file nomination.
Earlier in the day, a meeting of all BJD corporators decided to nominate Minakshi Behera as the party’s candidate for the post.
It should be noted that earlier amid controversy of ration card Anita Behera resigned from the post of CMC Mayor.
