Passengers sensitized about cashless transaction at Railway stations

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: After demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, the government has now taken steps toward cashless transaction. Following this, an awareness drive has been organized by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Monday with the help of State Bank of India to inform passengers how they would be benefitted through cashless transaction.

The SBI has informed about the State Bank Buddy app through which one can do online shopping, ticket booking and money transfer etc. For this one need to just add cash from his bank account to mobile wallet.

Meanwhile a stall also has been opened at the station by SBI to educate common people about the cashless transaction. Umesh Singh general manager of ECoR inaugurated the stall. Chief General Manger of SBI BVG Ready was also present during the occasion.

Ready, stating about the importance of State Bank Buddy and other mobile wallet applications, informed that the SBI will organize more awareness drives at various important places.
