Bhubaneswar: April 22: As six COVID-19 positive cases have already been detected in Basudevpur Block of Bhadrak District, District Administration declared 22 villages under nine Gram Panchayats of the Block as containment zone.
As per the order of Collector & District Magistrate, Bhadrak, the area coming with the boundary as indicated below is hereby declared as the containment zone.
Zone 1.
- Villages under Padmapur GP: Padmapur, Rukunadeipur and Kapagadia
- Villages under Lunga GP: Urunia and Lunga
- Villages under Sugo GP: Kanjikhia and Kalyanpur
- Villages under Ertal GP: Ertal
Zone II
- Villages under Kharida Binayakpur GP: Kharida Binayakpur, Belasaunlia, Bagada and Binayakpur
- Villages under Guagadia GP: Kamargaon and Chirol
Zone-III
- Villages under Laxmidashpur GP: Ajodhya, Khedualpur, Khempur, Sribatsapur, Laxmidashpur and Jaganathpur
- Villages under Balimed GP: Jiginipur
Zone-IV
- Villages under Adhuan GP: Adhuan
As per the order, no public shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and inhabitants within the Containment Zone shall not move out.
All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home. All the shopping establishment of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately. The supply of essential and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the District Administration.
All the Government and Private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone shall be closed and any violation of this order shall entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Indian Penal Code.
