Ganjam Resident Donates Sandalwood Worth Rupees 25 Lakhs To Puri Jagannath Mandir

Puri: Sakleshwar Rath, a resident of Khallikot Bazaar in Ganjam district has donated about 2 quintals of sandalwood to the Puri Sree Mandir. He had been in contact with the temple administration for about two years to donate the sandalwood wood in his house. He along with his father, Arthatran Rath, and his family have come to the temple and donated the logs.

According to government regulations, the trees have been cut down and the required measurements have been made. Khallikot forest officer Siddhartha Shankar Sahu was also present with them. Notably, Mr. Rath has already distributed sandalwood saplings at various places in Puri district. Sreemandir Revenue Deputy Administrator Subrata Kumar Behera and Additional District Magistrate Binay Kumar Das were present on the occasion.
