ASI DG approves lower capital confinement design for Jagmohan repair work in Puri, Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: On Friday, the lower capital confinement design submitted by the core committee for the repair of Jagmohan, the chamber facing the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Mandir in Puri, was approved by Director General (DG) of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

As per sources, the column jacket design made by the core committee was also approved by the DG.

As per an official of core committee member, the repair work of the Jagmohan will be carried out on war foot basis, after the approval of designs.

Meanwhile, for approval of portal frame design, it has been sent to the Madras IIT’s core committee and ASI DG.
