Bahanaga Train Tragedy: CBI Gets Further 4 Days' Remand Of Three Accused

Bhubaneswar: July 11: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought another 5-day remand of the three accused in the Bahanaga Train accident after their five-day remand expired. However, the court allowed the CBI to remand the accused for four days.

In the meantime, the three accused- Senior Section Engineer (signal) Arun Kumar Mahanta, Section Engineer Mohammed Amir Khan, and Technician Pappu Kumar- have been sent to court following the completion of their remand.

In the meantime, two of the three accused, Arun Kumar Mahanta and Mohammed Amir Khan have applied for bail.

The CBI summoned and interrogated two more Indian Railways employees on Monday in connection with the deadly train accident at Bahanaga.
