Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: By criticising the action of BJD of taking the Mahanadi issue to the streets, though it had been decided to solve the matter through a joint control board (JCB), Uma Bharati , Union Water Resources Minister said that BJD does not want a solution to the matter, rather they have been politicking the issue. Condemning ‘Rail Roko’, which was held on August 3 by BJD to protest the barrage construction on upper catchment of Mahanadi River by Chhattisgarh government, Bharati said that, no injustice would happen with the two States.
Meanwhile, BJD spokesperson Sashi Bhusan Behera, did not accept the Minister’s statement and said that, facts given by the Minister has added political colour to the issue. Chhattisgarh government should stop the project work, if they want a solution in the matter.
