Bhubaneswar: May 27: Bishnu Charan Das, Prasanna Acharya and N Bhaskar Rao will be BJD’s candidates for the forthcoming Rajya Sabha polls, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced today at Naveen Nivas. Prasanna Acharya and Bishnu Charan Das were ministers in BJD government whereas N Bhaskar Rao is the deputy chairman of State Planning board now.
During last few days, many names have come up during discussion in the Political circle. But, Naveen kept everyone guessing till the very last minute. Speculation was rife that Bhupinder Singh could be re-nominated after he met the party chief today. Among the other names discussed among the people were BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb and former minister Raghunath Mohanty.
