Bombay HC on Tuesday granted bail to Avin Sahu and Manish Rajgadiya. They were arrested by the NCB on October 2.
Both are residents of Odisha. Rajgadiya was arrested by the NCB for allegedly possessing 2.4 grams of ganja.
Aryan had moved the High Court after both Magistrate and Sessions courts rejected his plea.
Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi is arguing for Aryan Khan, while the NCB is being represented by ASG Anil Singh.
“He was arrested on October 3 and his statement recorded. There was no occasion to arrest my client (Aryan), short and simple,” Rohatgi said.
Notably, NCB placed Aryan under arrest on October 3, and charged him with offences under Section 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
