In a serious mishap that occurred on the 21st of February, 2021, a Landmine exploded near Gogpadar village in Odisha’s Malkangiri causing critical injury to a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan.

The explosion took place when the guarding soldiers were returning from search operation near Gogpadar village falls under Odisha’s Malkangiri district, which critically injured a leg of one soldier, Dharmendra Sahoo. After which the injured jawan was shifted to Raipur for treatment, confirmed by the commanding officials. The accident raged the operation intensively from thereafter.

The explosion that took place because of the landmine is said to be planted by the Maoists.
