Bhubaneswar: Feb 23: Though, the official result of Election to Zilla Parishad Zones is yet to be declared, BJD will have to be satisfied with 460 seats around against their achievement of 651 seats in the last Panchayat Poll held in 2012. Seeing this debacle, BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik asked the lawmakers and senior party leaders to introspect what led to the party’s poor show. But, as questioned by Media Persons regarding the poll performance of BJD in 2017 Panchayat Polls, Naveen said, he will comment only after the official declaration of poll results on Saturday. It is learnt that BJD Supremo on Wednesday asked the party members to review what went wrong in the rural polls despite efforts to restore the party’s image. Senior BJD leader Dr. Damodar Rout said, ‘Chief Minister said, he is not happy with the MLAs who have failed to secure good numbers in their constituencies…CM will review the result after the official declaration of result.’ Speaking to Media, BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra said, ‘CM has asked not to demoralise and continue good works, which can further strengthen the Party’.
