New Delhi, Dec 17: The Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that the Government has received proposals from the State of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.
Government is setting up ATIs in PPP mode under the scheme of “Enhancing the capacity of Training of Trainers”. In first phase 12 states such as Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Goa and Karnataka have been identified, Rudy told the Lok Sabha.
The States which have identified the locations for the setting of these ATIs, has been taken in the 1st phase.
In a written reply the Minister said, the training capacity in existing institutes at present is limited as compared to actual requirement.
Thus, infrastructure capacity of these institutes is being enhanced for additional trades and units, he said.
