Financial irregularities at OSCB Rourkela: Crime Branch to Probe into the matter

Bhubaneswar, June 7: Leading to a financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 29.57 crore in the Odisha State Cooperative Bank, Rourkela branch between 2005 and 2015, the state’s department of cooperation had today asked the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the crime branch to probe into the same.

Acting on the report of a special audit, cooperative minister SN Patro today ordered the OSCB director to take legal action against the wrong doers and has also asked the bank’s registrar to initiate surcharge proceedings against all accused.

A per the special audit report, the irregularities occurred during the tenure of three branch managers identified as Siba Kumar Das, Sanjeeb Mishra and Raghunath Sahoo.

Talk to the media through a press release, minister Patro said that a Public prosecutor will be appointed to take care of the trial against the loan defaulters while legal process will also been initiated soon to attach their properties.
