Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: South West monsoon has been active over Odisha. Rainfall has occurred at most places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Odisha and at many places with heavy rainfall at one or two places over South Odisha, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 17.6 mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 28 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.
The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 87 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.
Extremely heavy showers and thunderstorms will be on, in few parts of Odisha by Thursday. During Thursday’s, thunderstorms, lightning with showers will hover maximum around north Odisha with a few in South Odisha. On Friday, rainfall and thundershowers will be occurring heavily the state. On Saturday and Sunday the climatic conditions would remain unchanged. On Monday, again North Odisha would experience heavy rainfall with a few pours of showers in South as well. On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there will be a decrease in rainfall from Monday to Wednesday.
The highest maximum temperature of 33.6 degree C was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5 degree C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
