Bhubaneswar, May 3: Today discussions will be held as to how to control the Maoists fever in the state at a high-level meeting at the State Secretariat here. Chief Secretary AP Padhi will be chairing the meeting. The main objective behind this meeting is to chalk out the strategies of curbing naxal menace to present it at the anti-Maoist strategy meeting of affected states under the Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on May 8 that would be attended by officials of 10 naxal-hit states of the country.
Discussions upon anti-Maoist operations, deployment of more Central forces in Odisha, telephone connectivity in the red rebel cover districts and coordination issues with neighbouring states during counter-naxal operations are to be held.
