Rourkela, Nov 23: On Nov 16, this year, a couple that had gone for a sight seeing at the Pitamahal Dam, under the Brahmatiranga PS, while returning got lost in the forest. While inquiring about the way out, to the 5 accused who were returning from the dam after taking a bath, rather than getting them out of trouble, the accused allegedly gang-raped the woman in front of her husband after beating him. The victim raised a complaint the next day at the Brahmatiranga PS. Following the complaint and investigation, the five accused were arrested on the 21st of this month and were court forwarded. The accused had stolen a mobile phone and Rs 50 from the victim’s husband, said sources.
