Former Odisha CM Hemananda Biswal’s brothers leave Congress and join BJD

Bhubaneswar, Jan 30: Congress has experienced a major set back especially in the Jharsuguda Assembly constituency as two brothers of veteran Congress leader and former chief minister of Odisha, Hemananda Biswal, have joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today along with his supporters at Naveen Niwas here. Patnaik welcomed them and also expressed the fact that joining of new members will strengthen the regional party. The name of the two brothers are Sri Khirod Chandra Biswal and Sri Bihari Chandra Biswal. They along with their 60 followers of Congress from Jharsuguda assembly constituency joined the BJD. The reason of joinig BJD is said to be lack of trust in Congress. However, both the newly joined BJD members clarified that they will continue to support Hemananda as a brother.
