Bhubaneswar, July 2 : A team consisting seven officials of Vigilance department conducted a raid at the residence of Dr Motilal Gouda at Chandipur , in Gajapati district, on Saturday.
They simultaneously raided eight places of Dr. Motilal Gouda including his clinic located in Bhubaneswar, Talcher and Cuttack, vigilance official informed.
Notably, Gouda has been accused of issuing a fake Gazette Notification ordering engagement of five private labs for employee’s health check-up in factories and industries.
He also managed to sign a contract with NALCO, a Navartana PSU company by issuing fake notification of health checkup for NALCO’s staff at Gouda’s pathology laboratory and when he was in move to sign another contract of Rs. 1.02 crore, he was caught red handed.
The state government has suspended Motila Gouda from government service including more 407 medical officers for remaining absent for a long time period on duty.
