
Bhubaneswar, June 7: While making amendments to the General Provident Fund Rules (Odisha) 1938, the state government yesterday relaxed the norms for withdrawal from GPF for its employees.
According to sources, one can withdraw the GPF partly or fully after completion of his / her’s 10 years of service period, rather the earlier limit of 20 years. A government employee can withdraw the amount within 30 days of applying for the GPF withdrawal following the new norms by the finance department.
On the other hand, during emergency (for example: illness), an employee can withdraw the amount within 10 days of notification.
