A cheetah copter carrying 3 army officials crashed inside the Sukna military base at Darjeeling today at around 10.30 in the morning.
The Helo crashed while trying to land at the base near the helipad. It was a routine mission operating from Sukna. A junior commissioned officer was critically injured. The helicopter was returning after completing a reconnaissance flight from the forward area.
An inquiry has been ordered and details are awaited.
