India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seized nearly 3 tonnes of heroin at Mundra port in Indian state of Gujarat. The drugs was mixed with talc stone powder.
Information said, the heroin seized, were from Afghanistan, but was sent to India from an Iranian port. The price of the contraband will be around is USD 2.7 billion.
The agency has completed forensic testing & all and claimed to have seized 2,988.219 kg of the narcotic, valued at Rs 21,000 crore in the world market.
The address of the company it was intended to reach to was of Vijaywada.
Sources said, two suspects have been arrested in the drug bust case. Agency has been conducting search to arrest other people involved with the case. Also, The probe has also revealed the involvement of Afghan nationals.
