India Administers First Vaccine Doses To 50 Crore Population

New Delhi, August 31: Another day of Pride. India records 1.25 crore vaccinations across the country on Tuesday. Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya, on Tuesday sharing India’s new achievement on his Twitter has said, “1 Crore, 2 Times, in 5 Days. Congratulations, as India administers another 1 crore COVID-19 vaccinations today. Highest one-day record of 1.09 crore vaccine doses achieved till 6 pm – and still counting! Under PM Narendra Modi ji, India is fighting strongly against corona.” However, by now, the number has gone up to 1.25 crores.

With this the country also reaches another milestone. Till dates 50 crore people have received their first dose. Sri Mandaviya, sharing this on his twitter said, “Another milestone achieved in the world’s largest vaccination drive under PM NarendraModi ji. 50 crore people received their first #COVID19 vaccination. I applaud the hard work of COVID warriors & diligence of citizens in helping achieve this momentous feat

Notably earlier on August 27, 1.08 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccines were administered. so far 65.26 crore vaccines have been administered in the states and union territories. Of these, the first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 50.31 crore people. At the same time, 14.94 crore people have got both the doses.

In another development, 100% adult population in Indore have received their 1st doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, reports.

WHO chief scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, in her tweet has also congratulated India for reaching such amazing milestone. She has lauded the efforts of 1000s of people involved in the vaccination campaign.
