Bhubaneswar: July 17: Coronavirus cases in India crossed one million-mark. Just a day before, the total count of the Country was 9,68,876. Now, it is 1,003,832 cases in total.
So, in 24 hours, India has recorded 34,956 cases, which is again the highest single-day spike.
As per the Health Ministry’s information, 6,35,756 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery rate has improved further to 63.34 per cent. More than 22 thousand people have come out of the disease in 24 hours. 3,42,473 patients are under active medical supervision.
Also, 687 deaths were reported in last 24 hours and the total death toll in the Country rose to 25,602.
With cases surging, some of the State Governments have re-imposed lockdowns in their States.
Maharashtra has registered 8,641 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and the total confirmed cases of the State increased to 2,84,281. Also, 266 deaths due to Coronavirus were reported in last 24 hours and the total death toll in Maharashtra reached 11,194.
Tamil Nadu has registered 1,56,369 coronavirus cases so far and it’s death toll rose to 2,236.
Delhi is doing better. It has 1,18,645 cases so far, including 3545 deaths.
Karnataka reported its highest single-day spike with 4,169 coronavirus cases and it has crossed 50,000-mark.
Six more Indian States have crossed the 25,000 cases-mark.
Gujarat has recorded 45,481 cases, followed by Uttar Pradesh (43,441), Telengana (41,018), Andhra Pradesh (38,044), West Bengal (36,117) and Rajasthan (27,174).
