Bhubaneswar: July 04: In last 24 hours , India registered highest single-day spike of 22,771 cases. Total number of COVID-19 cases in India jumped to 6,48,315 on Saturday, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare informed.
442 people have died in last 24 hours, taking the total death toll of the Country to 18,655.
On the other side, 3,94,226 people have recovered from the disease and the recovery rate has gone up further to 60.73%.
2,35,433 cases are active, as informed.
Maharashtra continued to be the worst affected State with 1,92,990 cases including 8,376 deaths.
Tamilnadu has also crossed one lakh mark. It has 1,02,721 infections, including 1,385 deaths.
Delhi has recorded 94,695 cases so far, followed by Gujarat (34,600 cases), Uttar Pradesh (25,797 cases), West Bengal (20,488 cases), Telangana (20,462 cases), Karnataka (19,710 cases), Rajasthan (19,052 cases), Andhra Pradesh (16,934 cases),Haryana (16,003 cases) and Madhya Pradesh (14,297 cases).
