Bhubaneswar: July 21: India has reported 37,148 new COVID-19 cases and 587 fatalities in last 24 hours. According to Health Ministry, total number of Coronavirus cases in India increased to 11,55,191 and the death toll due to the disease rose to 28,084.
7,24,577 patients have recovered from the disease so far and 4,02,529 patients are under treatment. As recorded, 24,491 patients recovered in last 24 hours and recovery rate stands at 62.72%.
As stated by ICMR, , a cumulative total of 1,43,81,303 samples have been tested up to July 20 and on Monday, 3,33,395 samples have tested.
Among States, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Delhi, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Telengana and West Bengal have more than 40,000 cases so far.
Maharashtra has 3,18,695 cases so far, followed by Tamilnadu (1,75,678), Delhi (1,23,747), Karnataka (67, 420),Andhra Pradesh (53,724), Uttar Pradesh (51,160), Gujarat (49,353), Telengana (46,274) and West Bengal (44,769).
Total Death toll in Maharashtra rose to 12,030, followed by Delhi (3,663), Tamilnadu (2,551), Gujarat (2,162), Karnataka (1403), Uttar Pradesh (1192), West Bengal (1147), Madhya Pradesh (738), Andhra Pradesh (696), Rajasthan (568) and Telengana (422).
