India’s COVID-19 tally crosses 25 Lakh today; Recovery rate stands at 71.61 per cent

Bhubaneswar: August 15: India reported 65,002 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, pushing It’s total to 25,26,192.

57,381 patients have recovered from the disease in a single day and the total recovered COVID-19 patients have increased to 18,08,936. The recovery rate has been constantly rising, which stands at 71.61% today.

As per Health Ministry’s dashboard, 996 people succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours and death toll in the Country rose to 49,036. The Case Fatality Rate is declining and it stands at 1.94 % today.

At present, 6,68,220 cases are active in the Country.

A record high of 8,68,679 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. This has taken the cumulative tests to 2,85,63,095.

Among States, Maharashtra recorded 5,72,734 cases till date, followed by Tamilnadu (3,26,245), Andhra Pradesh (2,73,085), Karnataka (2,11,108), Uttar Pradesh (1,45,287), West Bengal (1,10,358), Bihar (98,008), Telengana (90,259), Gujarat (76,480), Assam (74,501) , Rajasthan (58,692) and Odisha (54,360).
