Innocent tribal in the name of Maoists are being killed by Odisha Police: Congress

New Delhi, Aug 27: Today the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief, Prasad Harichandan allegedly went on to say that the State police are killing innocent tribal on the name of the Maoists. Informing the media, the Congress leader submitted the enquiry report prepared by the Congress fact-finding team on the Kandhamal killings to the party VP, Rahul Gandhi.

The report inculcated names of former Union ministers V Kishore Chandra Deo, Jairam Ramesh, Arun Oraon, Vincent Pala and K H Muniyappa, the OPCC chief said the people were killed by jawans.

After having an hour-long discussion with the Congress VP, in presence of LoP, Narasingh Mishra and AICC secretary, Subhankar Sarkar, Prasad Harichandan said that this issue would be raised in the upcoming Odisha Assembly session to expose the ruling BJD.
