Low Pressure Area formed over WB & Odisha

A cyclonic circulation developed over Gangetic West Bengal & neighborhood in today’s morning and under its influence a Low Pressure Area has formed over West Bengal & adjoining north Odisha with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8km above mean sea level.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore and Mayurbhanj during next 24 hours. IMD has issued Orange Warning for the said districts.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, and Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul & Dhenkanal. IMD has issued Yellow Warning for the districts.

Forecast for the period 0830 hrs of 19th to 0830 hrs of 20th October: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Dhenkanal.
