Bhubaneswar: There is a possibility of another low pressure in the Bay of Bengal by September 5-6, reports private metro-logical agency Skymet. This will increase the amount of rainfall in eastern, central and northern India.

There is a possibility of good rain in September, according to Skymet. There are likely to be 3-4 cyclones or low pressure this month. If this happens, the scarcity of rain recorded in August will be fulfilled in September.

Earlier in August, the country received 28 percent less rainfall than normal. August is considered the most important month of monsoon season. An average of 258.2 mm rain has been recorded in this month. However, in August this year, only 196.2 mm of rainfall was recorded. Even in the third week of August, the rainfall was 40 percent less than normal. But by the end of the month, the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal was able to bring good rains.
