Puri: November 13: Rate Chart of MAHAPRASAD (Abhada) will be displayed at Ananda Bazar on the premises of Shree Jagannath Temple after the month of Kartika, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration after a review meeting held here today. Before putting the rate chart, a detail exercise will be done on money to be spent for the preparation of Mahaprasad Items.
The meeting also discussed regarding the replacement of the old idols of Laxmi, Narayana, Madana Mohana and Vamana as proposed by Pushpapalaka and Singhari servitors. ‘Preliminary discussion on the matter was held with Puja Panda Nijog and Temple Purohits today, but the final decision will be taken during a meeting with other stakeholders like Taluchha, Pattajoshi, Bhittaricha and others on November 20,SJTA Chief Pradipta Mohapatra said.
An Idol of Laxmi which was sculpted way back in1972 is still to be installed in place of Old Idol.
Speaking on the arrangement made by the SJTA to manage the heavy footfall during the month of Kartika and ‘Panchuka’, Mohapatra said, ‘a temporary shed will be prepared for devotees waiting outside the temple and elaborate security arrangements will be done during the period’.
