Keonjhar, Aug 1: Three teams led by ADMO visited the malaria affected areas in the Keonjar district and collected blood samples from the people being affected with the disease after complaints of medical negligence had come from the residents of the village.
Dr Sudhansu Sekhar Bala, ADMO, Keonjhar said that the workers under ASHA have been provided with the perfect Malaria test kits and tablets and are always on alert. However, the people of the Mahadejoda panchayat have alleged that medical authorities have not paid any attention to their area.
There are patients who say that there is absence of doctors in their area and some other patients say that they are at relief after having some medicines being provided with. Similarly, situation also aroused in the Kashipur block of Rayagada district where Mobile Healthcare Units arrived and collected blood samples.
Dr Ram Prasad Mohapatra of the mobile health unit (MHU), Kashipur, said that Blood samples of 126 patients were taken and all of them had the infection of upper tract and common cold and thus no one tested positive for malaria in the area.
