Puri, Apr 20: yesterday, annoyed West Bengal CM and TMC supremo, Mamata Banerjee, during her three-day visit to Odisha, alleged that the BJP is playing ‘divisive’ politics. She said to media at the Circuit House here where she is residing since last evening. She stated that BJP has nothing else to do other than creating dispute among people of different religions and places. But the ultimate destination where the BJP is planning to reach by playing such games is blurr.

Asked upon the FIR lodged against the TMC leaders on charges of involvement in the Narada chit fund scam, she said that these are just being done with political manipulation because of evil thoughts and the FIR issue will be taken up legally.
Asked upon the relationship between the two neighbouring states, Odisha and West Bengal, Mamata said that in her state of joy, every person worships Lord jagannth with a true and pure soul and visits Puri atleast six times in a year. In West Bengal, be it Kalighat, Dakhineswar Mandir or Jagannath Mandir, all are same and likewise, be it Digha or Puri , beaches are always an attraction.
Banerjee added that she is a Hindu but not someone who tries to discredit her religion. But the saffron party is doing so by going against the Hindu ideology that says, “move forward taking all along”. She further informed that an appointment has been fixed with the Odisha CM and she will be meeting him tomorrow following which would leave for West Bengal.
On the contrary, BJP National spokesperson and West Bengal in-charge, Suresh Pujari in a reaction to Banerjee’s comments said that it must be noticed as to why did the WB CM visit the Jagannath Shrine now, the reason is that she is afraid after the CBI has started investigation into the Saradha and Narada chit fund scams. Pujari also mentioned about the potato crisis in Odisha in which Mamata did not extend her support at all rather she was the reason of all problems.
