Kamakshyanagar, Sep 15: Today morning an unknown vehicle knocked down a man named Nabina Laguri at Sibulapasi under Kamakshyanagar police limits in Dhenkanal. The victim belonged to Chulia in Kamakshyanagar area. It’s stated that the man was hit at 7 am when he was going back home from Kamakshyanagar hospital where his granddaughter is being treated. Unfortunately, Laguri had a spot death. Following this, tension erupted in the area and the outraged locals blocked roads on NH-53 thus demanding compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the family members. As a result, transportation on Talcher-Jajpur road was obstructed even. The locals also demanded of restricting movement of heavy vehicles on the route from 8 am to 9 pm.
