Kalahandi, Jan 12: In tragic incident, a minor girl from Madhupur Village in Kalahandi, was set on fire by her uncle. Following to this the parents of the girl has filed an FIR against him for allegedly passing lewd comments and attempting to rape the girl.
According to sources, identified as Balu Das, the accused, uncle of the minor, had passed lewd comments to her and had allegedly attempted rape on her yesterday while the girl’s parents were out. After the girl brought the incident to the notice of her parents, her parents questioned Balu about the matter and lodged the complaint at the Panchayat.
Raged over the incident, Balu and his associate attempted rape on her and set her on fire pouring kerosene.
The Victim (Unnamed) had sustained severe burn injuries and was admitted to the Kalahandi DHH in critical condition.
