Puri, April 5: Two unidentified miscreants Monday decamped with jewellery worth lakhs from a shop in broad daylight here.
Police sources said two miscreants entered Sitaram Jewellery and sprayed a liquid on the owner and others present before fleeing with jewellery of about one and an half kg.
A case has been registered in the Sea Beach Police Station in connection with the case. Further details are awaited.
Notably, there has been a spurt in anti- social activities in the Holy City.
Bombings , firings , group clashes have become almost a routine much to the chagrin of the city residents. The police are yet to launch any crackdown to curb crimes.
