Arindam Das Of Odisha TV Dies In A Rescue Operation

A media person, journalist, from a premiere odia news channel in odisha, who was in the NDRF rescue boat that overturned in the water body on Munduli Barrage while rescuing a tusker, died minutes after being rescued from the river, today.

Arindam Das, a video journalist from Odisha TV who was on the NDRF rescue boat with few other NDRF personnel and a reporter dies few minutes after being rescued from the river.

Notably, early today, an elephant got stranded on the river while trying to cross Mahanadi. The tusker was unable to move because of the strong water current.

Rescue operations by the NDRF and the fire department are still underway to save the tusker that has got stuck near Mundali barrage in Cuttack district. According to reports, the tusker got stranded near the bridge while trying to cross Mahanadi.
