Odisha Government extends IPS officer Gajbhiye’s suspension:

Bhubaneswar: May 08: The Odisha government on Saturday extended the suspension of former Kendrapara SP Satish Gajbhiye by 95 days. It is to be noted here, Gajbhiye was suspended on August 13, 2015 for indiscriminately using excess force against the agitating locals near Sarathi Baba ashram of Kendrapara on August 7. Due to state-wide protest demanding stern action against him, state government was forced to take the action. Besides this, the corrupt practices against Gajbhiye was also brought to the fore as he was found taking possession of a huge tract of land in the name of his wife at Nimapara in Puri district.
