Angul, Dec 15: In a Tragic incident families of about 90 Odia Laborers who were working in a private company based in Daman, have alleged that, they are being tortured over during their tenure at the company.
The laborers belonging from Angul, Athamallik and Kishorenagar areas in Odisha, who are presently working in Prititi Industries, a glass making company in Daman, have not been paid salaries since past 3 months. The company is not even giving EPF account details to them. Out of all, the locals, goons and police are also threatening them, if they try to bring their problems out to the company through agitation.
The non-payment of salary has led the laborers being not able to return home. The family members in panic, have seek the help of the district administration to take necessary steps to get back their kin from Daman.
